The Wichita Eagle has posted a profile of Kansas native and Termite Terrace legend, Melvin "Tubby" Millar

The town of Portis, Kansas has a limestone memorial dedicated to Millar and Porky Pig:

    Where did Tubby end up after Warners? Was he drawing comic books?

    In "Case of the Stuttering Pig," one of Porky's disappearing kin was named Portis.
