The Death of Bosko

We've been looking for this Nickelodeon promo for years. Back in 1992, Nickelodeon got the rights to a number of Looney Tunes shorts they had never shown before. Most were popular, well-known cartoons with major characters, or as they put it, "More of the Looney Tunes YOU want!" Of course, it was an upgrade to have more Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other favorites, but it came at the expense of the black and white "Bosko" shorts. If it weren't for Nickelodeon, it's quite possible nobody would remember Bosko at all, and those of us who enjoyed the characters' primitive cartoons never quite got over the unexplained slap in the face this commercial gave us. Here, in all its cruel and unusual glory, is the official death of Bosko, the Talk-Ink Kid.

Well, Nickelodeon did basically kill Ren & Stimpy back in September of 1992. It never was the same. Even when MTV network Spike asked Spumco back to make more of them, it never was the same.

It does not surprise me that Nickelodeon pulled off another hit on Bosko.

But some of us might WANT to see Bosko, if for no other reason that curiosity!

Heck, if not for that Tiny Toons episode "Fields of Honey", I wouldn't have even heard of Bosko back when I was a wee snot.

Nickelodeon doesn't care about Bosko.

No Bosko!?, Wow that was Very VERY Mean, If it wasn't for Bosko and Harman/Ising, Looney Tunes And the Whole Termite Terrace Might Have Not Even Existed in the First Place.

Lets Face It, Nickelodeon Are Just A Bunch Of Morons. The ONLY good thing they have done was By Airing Cartoon Kablooey and Weinerville, which Composed of The Extremely Rare 1960s Post Harvey Paramount Cartoon shorts, Some of Which by Kneitel from 1962-1964 i've Never Even Saw Before and Im Dying to See Because they are so Rare and I Will Never forgive them for Getting rid of those Treasures to Make Room for their Dumb Nicktoons, In Fact, I Could Care Less About their So Called "Nicktoons".

I actually never saw this before, though I've read about it numerous times. I love how they just "slipped in" the fact that Bosko was being pulled from the airwaves.
