Just in time to tie-in with the brand-new Speed Racer movie, the folks at Time Warner Cable have put together this new ad featuring the Mach 5 in a race with a CGI Road Runner.
I keep thinking Wile E. will end up flying over the finish line at the last minute and be declared the winner. It will be "The Wild Chase" all over again... ;)
I hate the fact that WB is using The RR as a mascot for Time Warner Cable instead of the actual character. With that mind, I don't think Wile E. will fly up and be declared as the winner.
I tried to see the rest of the story, but I didn't see it on the site.
Heh. Speed Racer falls to #4 this week. The new Indiana Jones movie is going knock Speed Racer out of the top 5. I guess its sayonara Wachowski Bros that ruins the Matrix sequels.
Indiana Jones may be the #1 movie this week, but Speed Racer will fall to #6 and beyond. Enjoy your lackluster performance in the box office. And once again, sayonara and good riddance for a movie that tries to inspire from the classic anime, but fails to do so.

My money's on the Road Runner...
actually I don't like how the WB cable rendered the 3D Road Runner model...it looks kinda of scary!
Anyway...where's Wile E.?

You know, after this and those "Watch the Frog" WB promos, I've come to the conclusion that the Looney Tunes just don't work in CGI.
I don't know what is worse, this awful new SR film or CGI Road Runner.
I'll take Tatsunoko's Speed Racer rather that the CGI/Live Action Speed Racer that finishes at #2 behind Iron Man this week.
Actually, Speed Racer drops to #3 behind What Happens in Vegas.
