Oh, thank you Matthew! This is my personal fave Chuck Jones cartoon, and so pleased to see it get your commentary treatment. :D
This version is uncut, however. There's another version floating about where the lion is fooled twice by the mouse. First time as an Indian, then as Lion realises, he runs back and sees the mouse as a stereotypic black character, who sends him back the other way, which leads nicely to "Cuddles".
