Bugsenheimer Bunny

Ever wonder what The Bugs Bunny Show opening was like in German?

That's pretty pathetic that they felt they had to write a new theme song, when standard practice was just to rerecord translated lyrics over the original music bed.

Also, that they felt the need to have the parade of characters sing along.

I've never considered the opening that bad, having grown up in Germany (the treatment Tom and Jerry got, with the pathetic Udo Jürgens schlager piece, is much worse in my opinion). The real maltreatment the Looney Tunes got in Germany is where the video cuts off: with the "creative" dubbing (for lack of suitable terms) the cartoons got. I never understood, in my adolescense, what the merits of Mel Blanc and the uncredited gang of voice artists were until I saw original, undubbed versions.
