Die schnellste Maus von Mexiko

Speedy Gonzales was apparently popular enough to have his own TV show in Germany starting in 1972 --- complete with a theme song that I guarantee will be stuck in your head all day (even if you don't understand German). Don't miss the cameo at the end by a German speaking Road Runner (!!?).

What did the Road Runner saying.
I noticed they used scenes from Daffy's non-speedy cartoons, were they on the show too?

Road Runner says "Beep! Beep! Da fehlt noch einer... Road Runner, schneller ist keiner!" That translates to "Beep! Beep! One [star] is still missing... Road Runner, nobody's faster!" But it's spoken in rhyme, suggesting the influence of the Western comics (which were also published in Germany at the time).
I NEVER guessed any actual WB animation ever existed that showed a talking Road Runner. But this is the genuine article, if only produced for a foreign market.

Intrestingly credit is given to Bill Hendricks who directed four Daffy vs. Speedy shorts . While Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones, and Bob McKimson directed most of the Daffy/Speedy/Slyester cartoons.

Regarding the Road Runner segment I recall seeing artwork of the Road Runner in the same pose. Possibly the German market contracted Warner Bros to animate that scene. The Road Runner model looks more like Jones's.

Would this actually be the German equivalent of the 70's Merrie Melodies show, since the the two intros are about 95% identical?
