Worst Looney Tunes comic story, EVER

I had high hopes for DC's 163rd issue of Looney Tunes, especially after last month's great Bugs/Sam issue. Boy, was I wrong! It features two worse-than-usual Sylvester and Tweety stories, and...this one. A Bugs/daffy/Rocky/Mugsy/Porky story drawn by Scott Gross, the same guy who's been doing the covers lately (and once drew Rocky as the boss of Hanna-Barbera's Anthill mob!) It features 3 different misspellings of Rocky's name, terrible perspective drawing, and possibly the worst art of Bugs, Daffy and Porky ever commited to paper. And if you can make sense of the story, you're smarter than I am! I just had to scan it and share it here, it's THAT bad!

Excuse me while I go find a paper shredder.

Gee, I didn't get the comic yet. Being a completest, I just get it for that sake. Boy, I wish they get Earl Kress to write a story again.

this story looks really bad and it seems weird how a work like this could be in a official comic book that every person reads!

The drawings are horrible, there're no proportions...for beign a Looney Tunes story I expected at least good drawings, but
Scott Gross doesn't apply himself for this work: That's sad to say but it's the truth!

Where are all the good pencilers?

I actually use to buy those comics. The Yosemite Sam/Bugs issue WAS actually pretty good as the one with Elmer trying to sell an apartment to Bugs was hillarious. Anyhow-the spelling is horrendous-and not just with Rocky's name. On Page 2 the last panel Bugs is saying "What do we have here? ?s That...?" That's right-a replacement of an i with a ?! It happens again with Bugs' speech on the first panel of page 5. Did they really have to make Daffy actually lisp in this one?

Who's the hack who thought they were drawing Chief Wiggum rather than Porky Pig?

Wow these drawings are bad. In general, I don't care for any of these new comics.

I think miss the times when Looney Tunes had really good stories and not random like this junk.

I thought the story was fairly good. To say it's 'worst; is a bit extreme. This is far far better than the boring, stilted stuff that went on and on and on in the 1960s WB comics, and the artist shows a real capability with lines, and fresh poses and staging. Every writer and artist will be a bit different, but this is better than a lot that has gone through the WB mill over the years.
Notwithstanding the difference of opinion on this article, thanks for having a pretty cool blog!
