Invasion of the Looney Tunes figures!

If you've read this blog long enough, you've seen the logos at the top with PVC toys of the Warner characters. But you probably have no idea just how many I HAVE. Thanks to Jon, I have added several more to my already ridiculous collection...and now have too many to count! It was time to dust them all off and clean the top of my fridge where I keep them anyway, so I lined them all up and took a picture.

You're probably wondering how I managed to amass so many of these little things. Well, it's amazing what can accumulate when you collect something for over 20 years. Some were gifts, some came from the now-defunct Warner Bros. stores, and many were souvenirs from my many travels over the years. (Not everyone can say they have a Daffy Duck figure from Paris or a Speedy Gonzales from Germany!) It all started with about 5 of them that came as a Christmas present when I was about 4 years old (I'm 25 now), and I was somehow addicted from then on. If it was at a flea market, at an antique mall, at a garage sale, on a box of candy, or at a theme park gift shop, you can bet I bought it.

They have HELP for drug addicts, alcoholics, and the mentally insane...but I'm afraid this is an addiction I have to live with!

I only have ONE.
But the one I do have, is one you also have... the little 1936 public domain style Porky that is pictured in the top right corner. (the one where he is pointing in the air)

I think it's fitting that it's the only one I have, since I have a peculiar fondness for the mid to late 30s Looney Tunes cartoons. :P

I have a box of a couple dozen of these things from 10+ years back. Are there many collectors for them out there? is it worth sticking the lot up on eBay?

Those are all great - what's the story behind the characters with matching vehicles that they appear to be able to fit inside? (Roadrunner/Taz/Daffy vehicles at lower left area.)

Wherever did you find that Claude Cat figure? Is it from the 90's?
I have quite a few figures too! Once you start, it's hard to stop ain't it?

Really an amazing amount of figures: unfortunately I don't own much of them, except for the 1996's Space Jam figures from the Happy Meal!
I agree about what you wrote about: collecting looney pieces is a serious addiction, there's no medicine! It would be a nice idea to see pictures sent from the readers who own other interesting pieces to show!

Bubbashelby, the vehicles with faces of Road Runner, Taz, and Daffy are give aways from Arby's in the late '80's. I don't believe they came with a matching character. (The Daffy in the Daffy car looks like he is part of a different Arby's set...that is standing behind the cars.)

toonhead-npl, there are always Looney Tunes PVC figures being offered for auction on eBay...and they often don't sell (even when the opening price is only $0.99). PVC figures, being fairly inexpensive and easily available, tend to flood the market. That said, there is the odd individual piece that has some demand and sometimes a complete set (like the set of the characters playing various instruments) can spark some interest.

The Claude Cat is part of a PVC line in Italy. They did a whole ton of obscure characters. I have one of Sniffles, and from their Disney line, Fethry Duck and Gus Goose. I'd get more, but the $30 price tag turns me off...
